Ford DEF Fill-Up Cost: Georgia Dealer Mobile Menus

Compare posted per-gallon DEF fill prices from two Georgia Ford mobile-service menus and separate a refill from diagnosis or fuel service.

By How we research prices

Jefferson Ford in Jefferson, Georgia, lists a DEF fill-up at $24.95 per gallon on its mobile service menu. The same page lists a diesel complete fuel service at $269.95, diesel fuel additive at $89.95, and diagnosis with repair estimate at $199.95. Jefferson Ford’s menu says its prices exclude government fees and can change.

Athens Ford in Athens, Georgia, lists DEF fluid at $25 per additional gallon in its mobile-service price guide. The page says its mobile appointments cover a 20-mile radius of the dealership, use Ford/Lincoln OEM parts and procedures, and exclude applicable taxes and shop supplies. Athens Ford’s guide places the DEF line in fluid services, separate from its $269.95 diesel full-synthetic oil change and $229.95 diagnostic inspection with repair estimate.

The refill comparison

Dealer Posted DEF amount Terms shown
Jefferson Ford, Jefferson GA $24.95 per gallon Mobile menu; fees and taxes excluded
Athens Ford, Athens GA $25 per additional gallon Mobile menu; 20-mile radius; taxes and shop supplies excluded

Jefferson’s posted rate gives a hypothetical four-gallon fluid line of 4 × $24.95 = $99.80. Athens labels its $25 amount “additional per gallon,” so two billable additional gallons would add $50 to the applicable base service. The page does not identify an included starting quantity for that line. Do not treat four gallons at Athens as a complete $100 refill quote until the advisor confirms the base charge, included quantity and labor.

Refill versus DEF-system repair

Give the advisor the Ford model, engine, year, current dashboard message, and requested quantity. Ask whether labor is included, whether the technician will inspect for crystallization or contamination, and whether the work is a simple top-off or a diagnosed doser, pump, heater, sensor, or quality fault. A DEF fill does not clear a system fault or replace a failed component. Keep the $199.95/$229.95 diagnostic lines separate from the fluid.

Athens limits at-home retail service to its stated radius; Jefferson’s page identifies the dealership but does not state a mobile radius. Confirm service coverage before dispatch. Use these two Georgia menus as price references, not a national DEF average, and refresh them before booking.
