Drop-in and undermount are different jobs

Plumbing lines that change the quote

Measure bowl depth and drain position against the disposal, P-trap, dishwasher branch, and cabinet shelves. A deeper or offset bowl can require trap adjustment or disposal relocation. Ask whether the quote includes faucet removal and installation, supply lines, shutoffs, drain basket, disposal disconnect and reconnect, dishwasher hose, and leak testing.

For undermount work, price counter fabrication, support, sealant, and restoration separately. For a drop-in sink, confirm that the new rim covers the existing opening and that the counter does not need cutting. If the faucet holes move from the sink deck to the counter, ask who drills and seals the counter and whether the selected faucet reaches the bowl.

Compare the bid by deliverables

Request the exact sink model, cutout template, cabinet minimum, drain location, faucet-hole plan, and disposal assumptions. Put plumbing, counter work, cabinet work, electrical or disposal work, and finish cleanup into separate lines. Ask for a post-installation test of supply, drain, overflow if present, and dishwasher connection.
