That is a useful real provider policy, not a prediction of what every local technician charges.

Start by asking the technician to identify the failed function and the part number. “Not cleaning” might be a water inlet problem, circulation pump, spray-arm obstruction, heating issue, or drain restriction. A replacement decision made from a symptom alone can lead to buying a new machine while the old one only needed a valve or drain correction.
